Magda Muszyńska-Chafitz

Magdalena Muszyńska-Chafitz is a native Białostoker. After obtaining a master’s degree in economics at the Warsaw School of Economics, she achieved a successful career in finance. Her life changed after meeting her husband, a New Yorker, and in 2008 she moved to New York City and became a social media strategist for an industry leading, SoHo based, digital agency. Magda is fascinated with all things New York City, specifically how the metropolis is being shaped equally by both its officials, as well and its residents, who seek to improve the quality of life of all its inhabitants. She is intrigued by the new initiatives aimed to transition this city’s aging infrastructure to become a more efficient and globally responsible smart city. Magda is a licensed city guide (one of the only Polish speakers with a golde star) and author of the bestselling book „Z Nowym Jorkiem na NY.”

Her popular New York centric blog LittleTownShoes.com and accompanying social channels have become a go-to for Polish New Yorkphiles and international travellers. Magda lives in Brooklyn with her husband, dog and two cats.
